The public library
The two arrived at the library.
"Oh, it's a big building, isn't it?" Taku was surprised.
She partly ignored him and continued alone with the wheelchair. There was a gentle slope up to the entrance of the library.
"Chii, let me help you"
The automatic door opened. It was the first time for Taku to come to the public library.
He was perplexed with the open space in front of him because all the school libraries he knew were full of books and bookshelves. Now then, what discoveries will Taku make in this big, spacious library?
"Hello, Chii" said a woman with a small child coming toward them.
"Hello"
Both Chii and Taku answered at the same time.
" Today you will read to the children, won't you? It's a pity, I have something else I have to do today, so I have to leave now."
"See you again, Chii" said the child holding a picture book.
Taku noticed the width of the corridor. Taku, Chii in her wheelchair, the woman and child could all pass without difficulty. With a corridor like this we can push a wheelchair without bumping against other people.
"See you" said Chii to the woman and child, giving a little wave.
