A rainshower

"Finally, we can see the library."
Chii just finished saying that when suddenly rain started falling in big drops.
It was a rainshower.
The two hurried and took shelter under the eaves of a stationery shop by the side of the road. But the eaves were too narrow and the rain sprinkled over Chii.
Just then, they saw a parasol with bright colors in a small park ahead.
Taku took off his cap and covered Chii's head with it.
"Let's run."
Holding the grips firmly, he pushed the wheelchair to t05.jpgthe red and white parasol and slid the wheelchair under it.
Somehow it feels like we are in a great adventure, don't you think?
That's true.
Chii kindly wiped the cap Taku liked so much with a handkerchief and gave it back to him. Taku dried her braids roughly.
"That day was a rainy day too..."
She murmured with her eyes fixed on the rain, which had gotten lighter. It was two years ago, on a rainy day like today. While I was crossing a street coming back from a puppet show that I loved, a car slipped and, trying to brake came in my direction.
When I woke up, I was in a hospital bed. I spent 3 months in the hospital.
I persevered with the tests, surgery and rehabilitation, but...I haven't been able to go skiing or play dodge ball since.
