Heading for the Park"Let's go to Nakayoshi Park O.K.?"Chii asked Taku right after they left the library. On the way to the park, a lady called them over. When they got near her, she took out her notebook and asked them something by moving her hands in the air. Taku did not understand what was going on. "Taku, go over to that public phone and call the number the lady has in the notebook."  "What?," Taku was surprised and looked at the lady's face. She opened her notebook and pointed at the number. The lady needed Taku's help, but the boy didn't really understand. "She can not hear," Chii said to Taku, and she pointed to her own ear. Taku understood then. After taking the phone card and her notebook he dialed the number. "Sanae asked me to call you for her," Taku said. He was reading from the notebook and then he read the message to the person on the line. "I see" answered the voice, "Could you tell Sanae that I understood? Also, thank you very much. It was very kind of you." |
